Shipment and Delivery Policy

This Shipment and Delivery Policy ("Policy") outlines the shipping options, charges, timelines, and applicable conditions for orders placed through Nearby Pets India. By placing an order with us, you agree to adhere to the terms outlined in this Policy.

1. Service Areas and Limitations

We strive to deliver pets across various locations. However, please note that we may not serve certain remote locations, such as Andaman, Port Blair, or dense forest areas, due to logistical challenges. Delivery availability to specific pin codes will be confirmed during the order process.

2. Delivery Options & Charges

2.1. Landmark Pickup — ₹999

Delivery to a designated landmark (Railway Station, Bus Station) within the destination city based on your billing address.
Timeline: 5–7 working days.

2.2. Doorstep Delivery — ₹1999

Direct delivery to the customer’s provided address.
Timeline: 5–7 working days.

2.3. Express Delivery — ₹3999

Expedited shipping subject to approval and pet availability.
Timeline: 3–4 days.

2.4. Self-Pickup Option

Customers may request self-pickup directly from affiliated farms, our office, or affiliate centers at no additional charge. Coordination with our support team is required.

3. Pre-Delivery Conditions

To guarantee pet health and safe travel, the following must be met before dispatch:

  • Age: The pet is at least 45 days old.
  • Vaccination: First vaccination is completed and documented.
  • Certification: A "Fit-for-Travel" certificate is obtained where required.
  • Confirmation: Photos/Videos will be sent to the buyer for visual approval before dispatch.

4. Shipping Methodology

We operate under the "Pets In Basket Program." Shipments use IRCTC (Railways), road, or air transport. All pets are accompanied by trained personnel to ensure safe handling during the journey.

5. Delays & Rescheduling

Delays due to weather or transport disruptions will be communicated proactively. Customers must inform support 24 hours in advance if they will be unavailable for delivery. Missed deliveries without notice may incur rescheduling or boarding charges.

6. Delivery Confirmation

Verification is required upon delivery. Any visible health concerns (wounds, blood cuts, etc.) must be reported within 4 hours with supporting visual evidence. Signing the Acknowledgment Form confirms the pet was received in satisfactory condition.

7. Refunds for Non-Delivery

If a pet is undeliverable due to company/transport issues, a full refund or alternate pet option will be provided. Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.

8. Additional Charges

  • Foods/Accessories: Not included in standard shipment; available at extra cost + GST.
  • Exotic Birds Registration: A fee of ₹3000 covers mandatory Parivesh registration and documentation.

9. Local Regulations & GST

Customers are responsible for local municipal registrations. Please note that all charges mentioned are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST).
