This policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, refunds, and payments related to products and services provided by Nearby Pets India. By engaging with our platform and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
1. Return and Refund Policy
We are committed to ensuring the health and purity of pets sourced through our platform. Please review the following conditions:
1.1. 7-Day Return Policy & Purity Guarantee
- Eligibility: Pets can be returned within 7 days of delivery for verified issues such as crossbreeding or severe sickness.
- Lifetime Purity Guarantee: We provide a lifetime guarantee for the genetic purity of pets purchased through Nearby Pets India.
1.2. Sickness & Death Claims
- 7-Day Reporting Limit: No refunds will be provided for sickness reported after 7 days of delivery.
- Eligible Conditions: Claims are considered only for Parvovirus or Rabies (Puppies/Kittens) or fungal issues/blood stools (Exotic Birds).
- Required Documentation: You must provide a written document on official letterhead from an authorized veterinarian, including test reports with an official seal and signature.
- Death Cases: A post-mortem report or veterinary document stating the definitive cause of death (with seal/signature and contact info of the clinic) is mandatory.
- Non-Eligible: Claims for loose stool or vomiting are not considered as these are often caused by diet or environmental changes.
1.3. Specialized Policies
- Handfed Chicks: No returns or guarantees are offered due to the specialized care required.
- Wounds/Visible Issues: Pets with visible wounds or hairless patches can be rejected at the doorstep for a full refund or replacement.
- DNA Testing (Adult Birds): If a DNA certificate isn't provided within 15 days, a ₹150 refund can be claimed with proof of testing.
- Vaccination (Puppies/Kittens): If the first vaccination isn't done for pets under 42 days, a ₹450 compensation is provided.
2. Order Modification and Cancellation
- Modification: Requests must be raised within 8 hours of the order.
- Cancellation Window: Requests must be made within 3 hours of payment.
- Cancellation Fees: A 35% fee applies to approved cancellations. Cancellations at the doorstep or during transport incur a 100% fee.
- Automatic Cancellation: Orders are canceled if the booking fee isn't paid within 48 hours.
3. Payment Policy
- Booking Fee: A 35% booking fee is required to confirm an invoice.
- No 100% COD: To protect against fraudulent orders, full Cash on Delivery is not available.
- Refund Timelines: Refunds are initiated within 1-2 working days. Reflection takes 5-7 days (Domestic) or up to 10 days (International).
